So another product to be circling the beauty bloggers right now is the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion.
Never heard of Mario Badescu before? Neither had I!
The brand prides itself on having exceptional skin care products at affordable prices and state they can keep the prices reasonable by keeping the packaging nice and simple with no frills attached. The products are also paraben and cruelty free so that is another bonus!
The Drying Lotion is their best selling product and they claim it has become world famous (it probably has now!).
The Drying lotion is an overnight spot treatment that shrinks down any spots virtually overnight, so this product could be a life saver to us all!
The lotion comes in a glass bottle with 29ml of product that is suitable for all skin types and has a very interesting appearance compared to what you may expect.
The lotion inside the bottle actually separates leaving a pale pink sediment at the bottom and a clear liquid the fills the rest of the bottle.
This is how you are to leave the product as it actually states not to shake the bottle or if you do to leave it to separate again.
To apply the product the instructions advise you to dip a cotton bud into the pink sediment at the bottom and then apply directly to any spots after you have cleansed and toned your face thoroughly.
You then leave the product to work its magic overnight!
I purchased this product about 2 weeks ago on BeautyBay a brilliant price of just £12.50!
I have to tell you I have been thoroughly impressed with this product so far as I suffer from regular spots especially around my chin, and since using this product I haven't had a full spot form!
I apply it as directed with a cotton bud and it does have a bit of a stinging sensation when first applied to spots but this fades quickly.
When you wake up in the morning all traces of the pink dots on your face have vanished and so should any of the spots!
Its no wonder this product works well as it contains salicylic acid and calamine as well as other powerful spot fighting ingredients and the formula it comes in makes these ingredients stick to the spot of a good few hours to really work there magic.
I think this product is fantastic value for money and it really does do what is says on the tin. I can understand that some people might feel put out at buying a product like this then also having to use/purchase another product to apply it with (the cotton buds) but I think this is mainly due to hygiene reasons if the product came with its own applicator.
Overall I feel the product and the cotton buds are still inexpensive compared to other spot treatments available on the market and the results are great!
I also think another great benefit is that because it is a spot on treatment it doesn't effect or dry out any other areas of skin.
I love this product and i will defiantly be purchasing it again!
